Controlled F.O.R.C.E. Corporate Instructor and Executive Director Tony Grano conducted Controlled F.O.R.C.E. Level 1 & 2 Reinforcement Sustainment Trainer certification training for U.S. Army Basic Military Police Training Division instructors at Fort Leonard Wood on March 22-25, 2010.
The Army MP Schoolhouse non-lethal subject control POI is based on the Controlled F.O.R.C.E. Mechanical Advantage Control Holds™ (M.A.C.H.) subject control system. Mr. Grano helped sustain the program to ensure that MP Schoolhouse instructor cadre is delivering the most accurate and up-to-date tactics to Army MPs worldwide.
One of the challenges of maintaining a quality program for the MP Schoolhouse is the high rotation rate of the cadre. “Instructors are being rotated in and out of the program on a regular basis,” states Grano, “so it is important for Controlled F.O.R.C.E. to provide some consistency and continuity to the program.”
Since implementation, the Controlled F.O.R.C.E. M.A.C.H. based portion of the MP Schoolhouse curriculum has been a highly successful component of the program. The instructors expressed gratitude for the assistance that Grano and Controlled F.O.R.C.E. provide, and are working to bring the company in more often to further minimize the impact of instructor legacy issues.
The course was attended by other instructors, including personnel from the U.S. Army Civilian Police Academy. Individual responses to the training and the instruction were outstanding; one SWAT commander in attendance called it the most advanced course he’s been to.
Controlled F.O.R.C.E. congratulates the MP Schoolhouse instructor cadre on maintaining a quality program despite the challenges presented by instructor legacy issues. Together, we will continue to improve methods for delivering subject control content to the MPs protecting our bases. |
