0700 MST. 16 March 2009. Controlled F.O.R.C.E. Corporate Instructors Tony Grano and Don Roberts, along with National Instructors Jim Roncal, Lee Frank, and Vik Long kicked off an intense week of hands-on training for 13 Members of USAF 27th SOSFS at MISTIC training grounds in Roswell, NM. Training consisted of pre-deployment preparation for Security Forces MOUT, and followed a preliminary “virtual” training conducted just days before via the video game RainbowSix Vegas2 and its online capability. Airmen participating in this preliminary training were designated Virtual Team; Airmen that did not participate in the preliminary training were designated Reality Team. |

Primary points of instruction for Monday through Thursday consisted of the following subjects: Controlled F.O.R.C.E. CRSC Training, which covers the Mechanical Advantage Control Holds™ (M.A.C.H.) based system of controlling a non-compliant subject using body positioning, movement, momentum, leverage, and joint manipulation. Controlled F.O.R.C.E. Advanced Weapons Firing Techniques (M-4/M-9), which provided a variety of courses of fire for shooting while moving individually and as a team in realistic conditions. Controlled F.O.R.C.E. Vehicle Operations Utilizing NVGs, which provided orientation for team driving/maneuvering in low light and no light conditions. Controlled F.O.R.C.E. MOUT Training, which provided a variety of urban scenarios with different types of buildings, traps and vehicles. |
