T
he objective here is not to replace live training. The objective here is to get you guys trained up to work as a team, and to work on your communication skills.

On Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at the 9th Annual U.S.N.S.T.A. National Training Conference in Las Vegas, NV, Controlled F.O.R.C.E. presented its Virtual Training Concept to tactical operators from all levels of law enforcement, military, corrections, and security. The presentation, billed as Virtual Wednesday, introduced the Controlled F.O.R.C.E. Corporate Team’s research and development of utilizing state-of-the-art commercial-off-the-shelf video game systems to enhance hands-on tactical training. This presentation laid the groundwork for the first phase of the Security Forces MOUT Training delivered to U.S. Air Force 27th Special Operations Security Forces Squadron (27 SOSFS) on Wednesday, March 11, 2009.

From the Controlled F.O.R.C.E. Corporate Office just outside of Chicago, IL, Executive Directors Tony Grano and Don Roberts conducted preliminary training for the four members of Group A (Virtual Team) of the 27 SOSFS at Cannon Air Force Base, NM via the video game RainbowSix Vegas2 and its online capability. Virtual Team was the designation of the Airmen that participated in the virtual training. Group B (Reality Team) would be the designation of the Airmen that did not participate in the virtual training so that when both teams trained side by side in the second phase of training, or the practical training phase, the instructors and command staff could evaluate the effectiveness of the virtual training.
